Chimayo, New Mexico

Jason and I recently took a bike ride down to Chimayo, NM. Chimayo is about one hour south of Taos and is known for the legendary shrine El Santuario de Chimayó. Every year, hundreds (if not thousands) of people travel to Chimayo on foot to visit the sacred church and collect blessed soil from the area. The soil and water from the church's grounds are said to have special healing powers. Jason and I didn't collect any soil, but did snap a few nice photos. Since getting our motorcycles, Jason and I have been traveling to more interesting, out of the way places in our area. :) Enjoy the photos of Chimayo.
